 Croeso, Welcome,to the Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical  Mid-Wales Historic Stages 2014 incorporating the Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical  Mid-Wales 55 Stages 2014 and Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical  Mid-Wales 45 Stages 2014, based at The Elephant & Castle Hotel, Broad Street, Newtown, Powys, SY16 2BQ. The Elephant has kindly stepped in as The Hafren is unable to host us this year due to the half term being later this year and their hosting the Young Farmers Clubs Plays all week.

**   Please note there is NO PARKING at the Hotel; please park in the Main Car park and walk to Documentation. **
1    This year the Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical Mid-Wales Historic Stages is a round of the following:-
·          The Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, incorporating:-
The HRCR Category 4 Cup and the Imp Cup and Mini Cup.
·          The Brian Dennis Motorsport Welsh Historic Rally Championship.
·          The ANWCC Historic Stage Rally Championship.
·          The FMP Rally Challenge
 
2    The Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical Mid-Wales 55 Stages (Nat B) (which includes historic classes) is a round of the:-
·            The West Wales Rally Spares RAC Rally Championship
·            The Defender Challenge by Bowler Motorsport
·            The FMP Rally Challenge
 
STAGE FORMAT for 2014 - Town centre start with Howard Davies & Mike Broad as in 2012/3.
Historic crews & Modern 55 miles crews then do Pikes Peak, Myherin, 45 min Service, Sweet Lamb/Hafren North, then Hafren South, 45 min Service. For their last stage they do the first half of Myherin to midpoint, then cross to midpoint of Pikes Peak, do the first half in reverse, and finish down the hill. They then return to the Finish Control, which is in Broad Street this year, and is followed by Presentations in The Elephant & Castle Hotel. A total of 53 miles for a competitive entry fee of £620.
 
3     The Viking Motorsport/Links Electrical Mid-Wales 45 Stages (Nat B) is a round of the following:-
·          The Pirelli MSA Welsh Stage Rally Championship
·          The In Car Services & Evans Motorsport Tyres Ltd Welsh Clubman’s Forest Championship
·          ANWCC Forest Rally Championship.
·          ANWCC Ladies Rally Championship.
·          ANWCC All Rounders Championship.
·          The FMP Rally Challenge
In order to keep the cost to competitors to the minimum Modern 45 miles crews will have all scrutineering and documentation on Sunday so there is no need to arrive on Saturday. They then go to the Town Centre Start and then straight up Pikes Peak behind the National A and Nat B 55 miles crews, then do Myherin, 45 min service, Sweet Lamb/Hafren North followed by Hafren South. This year the Finish Control is in Broad Street followed by Presentations in The Elephant & Castle Hotel. A total of 45 miles of Classic gravel stages for a competitive entry fee of £520.
